Earl Hindman was an American actor from Arizona. His most famous role was that of helpful neighbor Wilson W. Wilson, Jr. in the popular sitcom "Home Improvement" (1991-1999). The series lasted for 8 seasons, and a total of 204 episodes.
In 1942, Hindman was born in Bisbee, Arizona, which at the time was a mining city. Bisbee was established in 1880, as a settlement for copper, gold, and silver miners. The city became the county seat of Cochise County in 1929. Hindman's parents were Burl Latney Hindman and his wife Eula. His father worked in the oil pipeline business.
Hindman studied acting at the University of Arizona. He made his film debut in the exploitation film "Teenage Mother" (1967), at the age of 25. His early films included the mystery film "Who Killed Mary What's 'Er Name?" (1971), and the political assassination-themed thriller "The Parallax View" (1974). He played the hijacker code-named "Mr. Brown" in the action thriller "The Taking of Pelham One Two Three" (1974).
Hindman next found a regular role in television, playing police lieutenant Bob Reid in the soap opera "Ryan's Hope" (1975-1989). He was a regular in the series from 1975 to 1984, and then was written out. He returned to the series in 1988 and remained until its end in 1989. The series was canceled due to its steady decline in Nielsen numbers. In total, it lasted for 13 seasons and 3,515 episodes.
Hindman was featured as race-car driver Beau Welles in the biographical film "Greased Lightning" (1977), depicted as the main rival to protagonist Wendell Scott (played by Richard Pryor). The film was loosely based on the life of Wendell Scott (1921-1990), the first African-American to win a race in the Grand National Series, NASCAR's highest level.
Hindman was reduced to minor roles in film for the duration of the 1980s, with the exception of playing gunfighter J.T. Hollis in the Western film "Silverado" (1985). In television, he played Lt. Commander Wade McClusky in the miniseries "War and Remembrance" (1988-1989). His career experienced a revival when cast as a regular character in "Home Improvement". In the series, his character Wilson W. Wilson, Jr. would regularly offer advice to protagonist Timothy "Tim" Taylor (played by Tim Allen), As a running gag, Wilson's face remained hidden from the audience.
Following the series' cancellation, Hindman mostly appeared in guest star roles in television series, such as "Law & Order" and "Law & Order: Criminal Intent". Meanwhile his health declined. Hindman was a longtime smoker, and was diagnosed with lung cancer. He died due to the disease in December 2003, at the age of 61.
Hindman died in Stamford, Connecticut, and was buried there in Roxbury Cemetery. He was survived by his wife, actress Molly McGreevey. McGreevey died in 2015.- Actor

Colorful American character actor equally adept at vicious killers or grizzled sidekicks. As a child he worked in the cotton fields. He attended Santa Monica Junior College in California and subsequently became an accountant and, at one time, manager of the Bel Air Hotel. Elam got his first movie job by trading his accounting services for a role. In short time he became one of the most memorable supporting players in Hollywood, thanks not only to his near-demented screen persona but also to an out-of-kilter left eye, sightless from a childhood fight. He appeared with great aplomb in Westerns and gangster films alike, and in later years played to wonderful effect in comedic roles.- Actor

A tease, a taunt, and a temptress throughout most her career, Fay Spain was born in Phoenix, Arizona, in 1932, as Lona May Spain to R.C. Spain and Arminta Frances Cochran. She headed to New York where she initially found summer stock work and a bit of television exposure. One of her earliest TV appearances was not as an actress but as a contestant on You Bet Your Life (1950), starring Groucho Marx.
By 1956, this fetching starlet was winning episodic roles on the more popular shows of the day, including Perry Mason (1957), Cheyenne (1955) and Gunsmoke (1955). She was also gaining notice on the covers of magazines. This cheesecake attention led directly to her juvenile delinquent debut in Dragstrip Girl (1957) with John Ashley and Steven Terrell, where she immediately established herself as the party girl boys are willing to race cars and fight over. Other equally low-budget films followed, with Teenage Doll (1957), The Crooked Circle (1957), and The Abductors (1957).
She made an aggressive move into higher quality films with Erskine Caldwell's best-seller God's Little Acre (1958) as "Darlin' Jill", another amoral sexpot, and as Rod Steiger's moll in Al Capone (1959), but then it was right back to Grade Z level work with The Beat Generation (1959) co-starring Mamie Van Doren, The Private Lives of Adam and Eve (1960) in which she tempts Martin Milner with the old forbidden fruit routine, and a 1962 Italian spectacle as an evil queen trying to thwart the actions of Hercules. Although Fay made some efforts to return to TV work, her career was pretty much over by the mid-60s. One of her last roles was a bit part as a mafioso matriarch in The Godfather Part II (1974). Stevie Nicks was born in Phoenix, Arizona. From an early age, she showed a love and aptitude for music, singing country and western duets with her grandfather when she was 4 years old. After moving to San Francisco, she began songwriting and performing at Menlo-Atherton High School, where she met her future long-time companion, Lindsey Buckingham. After smaller projects failed, she and Lindsey signed with Polydor Records, and produced their collaboration, "Buckingham-Nicks". The album flopped, and the two (who were now lovers) were dropped from the label, but not before attracting the attention of Mick Fleetwood, who invited them to join Fleetwood Mac. Two years later, in 1975, Fleetwood Mac's self-titled album topped the charts, headlined by Stevie's "Rhiannon". Success for the band, and for Stevie, was immediate. The legendary "Rumours" album followed in 1977, at the same time Stevie's relationship with Lindsey came to an end. Stevie's solo career began in 1981 and met with instant success. The stress of maintaining a solo career and remaining with Fleetwood Mac became too much for her, and she became addicted to cocaine, and then to prescription medication. After undergoing treatment for her addictions, Stevie vowed she would never perform publicly again, but was lured out of retirement for Fleetwood Mac's 1997 reunion and continues to perform, write and record.- Amelia Heinle was born on 17 March 1973 in Phoenix, Arizona, USA. When someone told Brad Johnson he'd come a long way, his usual response was, "Well, I had a long way to come." Born on a small ranch in Tucson, Johnson, the son of a horse trainer/used car salesman, did everything from shoeing horses to repossessing cars to serving as a hunting and fishing guide. His humble beginnings nurtured his modesty and quiet strength and had critics comparing him to John Wayne, Clint Eastwood and James Stewart.
Brad's route to stardom was speedy, dramatic and somewhat circuitous. He joined the Pro Rodeo circuit in 1984 and was spotted wrestling steers in Wyoming by a casting director looking for cowboys to use as extras in a beer commercial. After this first break came a three-year run as the Marlboro Man, then numerous Calvin Klein print ads and more commercials. After a serious knee injury sidelined his rodeo career, Johnson headed for Hollywood.
Within five months of his arrival, Roger Corman cast him to star in Nam Angels (1989). Soon after, Steven Spielberg discovered Johnson and offered him the coveted role of Ted Baker, Holly Hunter's love interest in Always (1989). When asked about her co-star, Holly described Brad as "all twisted steel and sex appeal." The Spielberg film led Johnson to Paramount for John Milius's Flight of the Intruder (1991). An exclusive three-picture deal at Paramount followed.
With 60 hours of television, 11 pilots and over 25 films to his credit, there was no slowing down. Johnson's Los Angeles-based High Lonesome Productions and his producing partner Lou Pitt had several projects in different stages of production.
Brad lived with his wife Laurie and their eight children on a ranch in the mountains of Colorado.- Actor

Rotund comic character actor of American films. Born Andrew Vabre Devine in Flagstaff, Arizona, he was raised in nearby Kingman, Arizona, the son of an Irish-American hotel operator Thomas Devine and his wife Amy. Devine was an able athlete as a student and actually played semi-pro football under a phony name (Jeremiah Schwartz, often erroneously presumed to be his real name). Devine used the false name in order to remain eligible for college football. A successful football player at St. Mary & St. Benedict College, Arizona State Teacher's College, and Santa Clara University, Devine went to Hollywood with dreams of becoming an actor. After a number of small roles in silent films, he was given a good part in the talkie The Spirit of Notre Dame (1931) in part due to his fine record as a football player. His sound-film career seemed at risk due to his severely raspy voice, the result of a childhood injury. His voice, however, soon became his trademark, and he spent the next forty-five years becoming an increasingly popular and beloved comic figure in a wide variety of films. In the 1950s, his fame grew enormously with his co-starring role as Jingles P. Jones opposite Guy Madison's Adventures of Wild Bill Hickok (1951), on television and radio simultaneously. In 1955, before the Hickok series ended, Devine took over the hosting job on a children's show retitled Andy's Gang (1955), in which he gained new fans among the very young. He continued active in films until his death in 1977. He was survived by his wife and two sons.- Actress
